Iscoyd Park Wedding Photography

Iscoyd Park is a stunning, family owned Georgian house situated on the borders of North Shropshire, Cheshire and Wales. (Its been in Godsal family since 1843!)

The interior of the house is just exceptional. It retains many period features, history and character, along with warm, welcoming family vibes. Walking around the gardens, you are spoilt for choice of where to look. With gorgeous well maintained borders that flurish all year around, magnificent tall trees and beautiful views of the parkland at the front of the building.

Inside an Iscoyd Park Wedding – Ceremony & Reception Spaces

One of the reasons couples choose Iscoyd Park is the variety of beautiful spaces available throughout the day. Each area offers a completely different atmosphere — and photographs in its own way.

As a local Iscoyd wedding photographer, understanding how each space works (and how the light moves through it) makes a huge difference to your final gallery.

Ceremony Spaces: The Garden Room, Drawing Room, The Gardens, The Pigeon House and The Coach House

The Bridal Suite & Iscoyd Cottage

Both of these areas are stunning to get ready in! The Iscoyd Cottage is perfect for staying with the girls the night before the big day and then moving over to the Bridal Suite to do final touches and get into your dress.

The Bridal Suite is stunning for hair and make-up to commence with the large, spectacular windows – MUA, hair and photographer’s dream!

The Library – Intimate & Atmospheric

The Library is one of the most characterful rooms inside Iscoyd Park.

With rich tones, elegant detailing and a warm, intimate feel, it’s ideal for:

Pre-ceremony moments: Morning preparation portraits

Quiet couple photographs (Rain or shine)

The softer, moodier light here creates beautifully romantic imagery — especially in autumn and winter weddings.

It’s a space that feels refined and personal, perfect for couples wanting something elegant but not overwhelming.

The Garden Room – Light-Filled & Romantic

The Garden Room offers a brighter, airy contrast.

It’s a beautiful option for:

  • Civil ceremonies

  • Drinks receptions

  • Relaxed guest moments

The natural light here is incredibly flattering — especially for spring and summer weddings. As an Iscoyd wedding photographer based just minutes away, I know exactly where to position you for the most natural, luminous portraits in this space.

The Coach House – Evening Energy & Celebration

The Coach House transforms as the day moves into evening.

It’s where the atmosphere shifts:

  • Live bands

  • DJs

  • First dances

  • Champagne sprays

  • Full dance floors

As well as being a party area, its all a stunning area for smaller intimate weddings and perfect for keeping everyone together!

The Marquee – Elegant, Flexible & Spacious

The marquee / Garden Pavilion space is where many couples host their wedding breakfast and evening reception.

It offers:

  • High ceilings

  • Neutral styling

  • Garden views

  • Space for larger guest numbers

  • Seamless indoor–outdoor flow

In summer, the doors open onto the lawns for a relaxed garden party feel. In winter, it becomes cosy and candlelit — incredibly atmospheric once speeches begin and evening lighting kicks in.

Because I regularly photograph weddings here, I understand:

  • The best layout for speech photos

  • How to capture wide room shots

  • The ideal timing for golden-hour portraits just outside

The Grounds – The Signature Iscoyd Backdrop

Beyond the interiors, the grounds are what truly elevate Iscoyd Park weddings.

From:

  • The iconic Georgian façade

  • The sweeping driveway

  • Manicured lawns

  • Walled gardens

  • Open countryside views

There’s a huge variety of backdrops within walking distance — meaning you never need to disappear for long portraits.

And being based less than 3 miles away means I know exactly where the sun sets in every season — something that genuinely makes a difference in your final gallery.
