Helen and Dan’s – Soulton Hall Wedding Photographer
I love being a Soulton Hall Wedding Photographer and working along side the Ashton Family. Soulton Hall is a wonderful venue (I do not think I am being bias!) but I also said “I do!” here in 2012, therefore I could relate even more to Helen and Dan’s excitement! Photographing in Shropshire’s fine countryside, opened us up for lots of wonderful bride and groom portraits; the vibrant lavender, wheat fields , climbing roses to name a few. Did you know that Soulton Hall is also a working farm too? They dish up some of their delicious crops and meat for the wedding breakfasts that they cater for.

These lovebirds meet through work and got engaged in Bruges. Helen is from the local area, so thats why they Soulton Hall came up trumps to be their wedding venue. She got ready at home and Dan got ready at Soulton Hall in the fabulous four poster bedroom (I love the wallpaper in there as you will see in the photos of Helen!) We took advantage as we had some time before the ceremony to take some more portraits of Helen on the original staircase in the Hall.
The recently converted upstairs area of Soulton Court , The Tallet, – was the choice for wedding ceremony, very intimate room, with many of their friends and family.
In our pre-wedding meeting a few weeks before the wedding, we allocated plenty of for Dan and Helen after the ceremony to mingle with their guests, capture their family portraits and to creative portraits of them both. Planning this before hand help create such lovely relaxed photographs and resulting in lovely memories being taken as no one was rushing around.
Father of the Bride speech…
Photographing the Father of the Bride speech is one of my favourite speeches to capture. You will understand why when you see Helen and her Dad below. Once the speech has finshed I love waiting for the exchange of a glance, kiss, cuddle. To me it sums up the special bond that daughter/dad/little girl bond – priceless!

That bouquet throw!… I do not think I have seen someone jump so high to catch one – great effort!!!
