I did a family shoot in the Summer last year for the Shaw family (click here to have a gander!) – who won my competition that I ran on Facebook. Other family members saw the photos from the shoot, which then triggered some thoughts Nanna wanted to do a shoot on a summer evening of the two cousins. A great place I love visiting for Shropshire Family Photography is Brown Moss Nature Reserve just outside of Whitchurch, Shropshire.
This particular summer evening, the light was golden and warm and lots of pockets in between the trees and the leaves which i think enabled us to capture some beautiful photos as you shall see down below. The same approach as always; I let the girls guide us playing around, with their fishing nets, paddling in the water, climbing up the fences and shouting. I think these all add to the character of the photos and when you look at the photos it triggers happy memories too!
We did the shot around 7pm which is prime time for that golden light. It is not too harsh and adds a wonderful glow!

If you are looking for Shropshire Family Photography please do not hesitate to get in touch! As well as weddings I love photographing families. As a mum of three myself I really do value how important it is to have a shoot. We make the point of doing a shoot one a year with another professional photographer. Firstly so I can be in some! But secondly to capture our children growing and encapsulate their character. When I pick up the camera my kids do tend to stop what they are doing!
Time goes so fast, even more so with kids and I think it is so important to capture those memories to go up as work of art in your home!
Drop me an email info@charlottegiddingsphotography.co.uk or contact me through my contact page!
Look forward to capturing you and your family soon!
