Some weddings truly stay with you, and Hannah and Sam’s intimate celebration in Liverpool is one I’ll cherish forever. Set against the stunning backdrop of St. George’s Hall, this was a day filled with love, joy, and sunshine—everything you could hope for in a wedding.
Hannah and Sam chose to keep their day small and meaningful, surrounded by close family and friends. Guests traveled from abroad to be part of their celebration, making the day even more special. The atmosphere was warm and joyful, with the vibrant energy of Pride Day outside adding an extra touch of magic as I arrived at St. George’s Hall.
The ceremony at St. George’s Hall was full of tender moments. One that really stood out was when Sam was meeting and greeting, waiting for Hannah as she spoke with the registrar. You could see the emotion building in him—it was such a raw and honest moment. And then, when Hannah’s mum came over to share a few words with him, there was a gorgeous intimate moment to be captured. Those beautiful tears captured everything this day was about: love, connection, and the unbreakable bonds of family.
During the ceremony and throughout the entire day, it was impossible to miss how deeply Sam and Hannah were connected. They couldn’t take their eyes off one another—it was like they were the only two people in the room. Their love felt so natural, so effortless, and so true. It was an absolute privilege to witness and capture their story.
After the ceremony, we headed to the iconic Hope Street Hotel for their reception. This venue is perfect for intimate weddings. One of my favourite moments of the day was stepping out onto Hope Street for portraits. The sun was shining, people were enjoying drinks outside, and we found a gorgeous table for Hannah and Sam to sit at together. Watching them laugh, chat, and just be present with one another, surrounded by the vibrant energy of the city, created some of the most memorable images of the day.
What made this wedding even more special for me was the journey that brought me there. I was honoured to be referred by another photographer, and Hannah and Sam’s trust in me meant the world.
