A Stunning Summer Wedding at Combermere Abbey, Shropshire – Hattie & Jack

Combermere Abbey remains one of the most enchanting venues I’ve had the pleasure of working. With its historic charm of the Victorian Glasshouse and surrounding walls, picturesque gardens, and breathtaking lakeside views, it set the perfect stage for Hatty and Jack’s wedding day.

The couple envisioned a day that was elegant yet deeply personal, and every detail reflected their love story. From the floral arrangements grown and created by a bridesmaid’s mum to their timeline of photos of them over the years in the Pavillion and table names of places they had been.

Memorable Moments

One moment that truly stood out was the couple’s love for dogs! After they exchanged vows in the beautiful Victorian Glasshouse and confetti, Hobbs their black Labrador came out and joined everyone for canapés and drinks. As well as Hobbs there was Ted, Jack’s mum and dad’s golden Labrador too. I loved the fact that the dogs were part of the family photos, because quite simply, they are family!

Before Hatty and Jack were called to the wedding breakfast in the Pavillion, we utilised some time and went for a walk around the walled gardens and beelined for the climbing roses too, because quite simply, they are gorgeous only last for about a month.

One of my favorite shots from the day is of the two of them walking hand-in-hand along the Abbey’s tree-lined pathway, laughing and completely lost in the moment.

Later in the day, we took advantage of the Abbey’s stunning grounds for some golden hour portraits. The soft, warm light was incredible down by the North Wing of the Abbey and by the lake.

The Joy of the Celebration

The evening reception was just as unforgettable. Guests danced under twinkling fairy lights that decorate the Pavilion while a DJ played the couple’s favourite tunes I loved capturing the laughter, love, and energy of the guests as they celebrated late into the night.

The Final Touch

As the day came to a close, I brought Hatty and Jack outside for a minute to do a final shot of the night and to say my goodbyes and wish them an incredible evening and thank you allowing them to be part of their special day.

I truly enjoyed capturing their special day – and their doggies!
