Working with Amazing Wedding Suppliers
A really polite message for all you super wedding suppliers!
Through out the wedding season and in past years, I have the pleasure of working with some extremely talented wedding suppliers from make-up artists, hairdressers, florists, cake designers, venues etc. I thoroughly enjoy working with serious like minded people and aiming to achieve an amazing day for our couples.
I get asked regularly for photos from weddings which we have worked together. Which I am MORE than happy to do.
Suppliers and Photo Use
I thought it might be worth putting a few notes together to see if we can help each other out. I appreciate that lovely suppliers want to keep their social media pages and websites up to date and more than happy to help you do this (with great photographs too!) but I was wondering if I could ask for a little bit back too!
A little request…
My wonderful brides and grooms do not have permission to give suppliers the use of the photographs for supplier’s businesses. Photographs are to be used for personal use only, not commercial use and I retain the copyright of the photographs. So if you would like any photographs to promote your own business then please, you need to contact me.
I am more than happy to supply photographs, however it is not a free for all. Once photographs are in one place like on Facebook, they can easily spread and end up in all kinds of places. Filters get applied which spoils my hard work, which I have been paid to do for my brides and grooms.
So if this is the case, for use of photographs used for print, advertising or for online use WITHOUT a credit, I charge £35 per photo and it will be applied. I still do retain the copyright of these photographs and filters etc are still not to be applied.
Being a small business, I understand the challenges and would love to support awesome businesses – I just hope you can help support mine too! So I am more than happy to supply photographs in reciprocation of a linked credit.
For website and blog uses there must be a linked credit on the page which the photo(s) are used. Social media – there must be a link to my page on whichever site it is.
I don’t mind cropping as I understand social media dictates this sometimes, however please do not edit the photo(s)!
So for the back linking please use the following:
As long as the couple are happy to do so, I will forward you your pick of the photos. The process of doing this would be simply getting in touch with me. I will give you the login details to the online gallery once the photographs are live and the couple have seen them. Then simply let me know the photo numbers or submit an order. Then I will send them by wetransfer.com. So super easy!
Please get in touch if you have any more questions or would like an invoice sending out for the pay for option.
Thank you for taking the time to read and lets get supporting each other!
