Boodles May Festival 2017
Kick starting the race season at Chester Race Course was the Boodles May Festival and what a cracking start to the three day event. The sun was beaming, gorgeous blue sky, amazing atmosphere. I could not have asked for anything more as a Chester Event Photographer.
Day One of the festival played host to the first and much anticipated Men’s Best dressed. Chester are the first to host this competition out of all the race course meets across the UK and incredible prizes up for grabs.
Thousands of very well suited and booted gents arrived at the race course for the first day event and the judges worked it down to 10 Men to the reveal first place, best dressed man at the presentation ceremony before the 188 Bet sponsored race at 3.35pm.
Boodles Box, The White Horse and 1539
As well as the glamourly dressed race Goers to photograph, I captured some other wonderful new changes that have been going on at some sites at Chester Race Course. 1539 have worked hard on the roof terrace and the effort has paid off – on the terrace it felt you were abroad with spectacular views!
The White Horse looked incredible too. Staff have cool new uniforms, the conservatory looked amazing all ready for those who booked to watch the races and dine there too. Food being produced by Craig and the team looked delicious! (Check out some of the dishes – if you fancy a meal out The White Horse is open all year around too)
Most importantly, I had to take a moment and look at the horses. They are so incredibly beautiful. To watch them down my camera lens, I was completely mesmerized! Photographing this Chester Event on Wednesday made me feel a very lucky photographer and adds to more of the reason why I love my job!

Some of my photos even made the Press!
