Gorgeous Weather for a Beach Engagement Shoot!

So last Wednesday, I hit the road and travelled up to Formby Beach for an afternoon of fun with fellow photographers. All 12 of us photographers joined in for a Formby Beach Engagement Shoot with our super models Ashlie and Phil.

I have never been to Formby Beach before and never knew it was National Trust either, so I certainly be heading back to make use of that annual membership! (Yes, I know, I have come that age to have one – but actually it is great, a fab way to see some amazing places with the family!)

The day gave me the chance to try out a couple of new lenses that now will start making more of an appearance at weddings and during portrait/family sessions. Formby has one of the most beautiful beaches, amazing sandunes and stunning woodland behind. So we all kept fit and photographed in all three areas!

I really enjoy meeting other photographers. Some people think its strange but I actually love it! (I am sure it stems back to my “working in the pub days!”) But I think its a great way of networking, talking shop, exchanging technical tips (and time away from the computer!) I loved watching how we all work as individuals too!
