Ian and Cheryl’s St. Llwechaiarn’s Church and Montgomery Castle and Town Hall Wedding

I met Ian and Cheryl at their home and what a lovely excuse to go for a drive over the border into Wales and enjoy a scenic route! At their home I showed them some sample albums and enjoyed listening to how they met, the proposal and their wedding day plans! I loved listening to Cheryl (in her lovely welsh accent!) explaining the significance of St. Llwechaiarn’s Church in Llanmerewig. It’s a church that has been part of the family for years. Her mum and dad also got married there. She also mentioned that she would love to go the castle…. I was already picturing taking photos there! (Being a Montgomery Castle Wedding Photographer!)

The Wedding Day!

Driving to meet Cheryl, the weather conditions were perfect! I knew it was going to be an amazing day! When I arrived with the girls it was so incredibly calm and organised. I photographed the fabulous dress and details while Cheryl’s hair and make-up finished up and the girls receiving their beautiful gifts from Cheryl.

Ian arrived in style on a tractor at St. Llwechaiarn’s Church along with the boys for a few photos. St. Llwchaiarn’s Church has the most wonderful church doorway I have ever photographed so far!

We were certainly spoilt with this quaint little church! I completely appreciate why Ian and Cheryl wanted to carry on the family tradition of getting married here. To top it off our vicar was ACE!

Montgomery Castle Wedding Photographer

On route back to Montgomery Town Hall, we had the pleasure of stopping of at Montgomery Castle. ….. All I thought was WOWEE!!!! …. and “boy!” this is much better than what I saw online!

I hope you too are blown away with the views and the ruins…. as well as Cheryl and Ian in the photos! I could have photographed our newly weds all day up at the castle. What a wonderful place!

Taking some time out gave Ian and Cheryl a chance to have some time together before we continued on to their wedding reception.

Mongomery Town Hall Wedding Venue

To top the day off Montgomery Town Hall was the wedding venue! Beautiful backdrop in our photos before we departed after the speeches and cake cutting.

I am going to have to have another drive out here as I didn’t have chance to appreciate the area!
