2025 Wedding Photography Round Up | Combermere Abbey & Beyond
2025 was busy — in the best possible way. A full season of weddings, plenty of time spent at Combermere Abbey, and lots of couples who wanted their day photographed naturally, without fuss or awkward posing.
This post is a straight-up 2025 round up. No fluff — just highlights from the year, the kinds of weddings I photographed, and why this season felt like a really good one!
Combermere Abbey Weddings in 2025
Combermere Abbey was a big part of my 2025 wedding season. It’s a venue I know well, and one I’m always happy to return to. I am a recommended photographer there and the staff are truly wonderful!
Throughout the year I photographed a mixture of sized weddings there. What they all had in common was time and space, relaxed and informal. Calm mornings, beautiful light, and plenty of room for couples to actually enjoy their day.

Marquee & DIY Weddings
Alongside venue weddings, 2025 also brought a solid mix of marquee and DIY celebrations.
These are always some of my favourites to photograph and capturing those in the farming community. They are super personal with the reception being at home, and designing the wedding how they would like it! One of the weddings I captured, they even built their own cow shed to host the wedding reception first – brilliant! These weddings tend to run at their own pace, with less pressure and more focus on good food, good people, and a good party!
Natural Wedding Photography (No Awkward Posing)
One thing that really stood out in 2025 was how many couples wanted their photography to feel easy.
Most didn’t want to spend hours being posed or pulled away from their guests. Instead, they wanted real moments covered properly — the nerves before the ceremony, the reactions during speeches, the chaos later on once the dance floor filled up.
That approach runs through all of my work, and this year really reinforced why it matters.
Highlights from the 2025 Season
A few moments that summed up 2025 for me:
