“YOU HAVE MANAGED TO CAPTURE BEAUTIFUL MOMENTS THROUGHOUT THE DAY, WITH OUT US EVEN KNOWING YOU WERE THERE!”
When Clare and Will first got in touch with me about their DIY at home wedding in Shrewsbury, I was so excited – they were planning the most relaxed and laid back wedding with a religious ceremony, a live band and even a homemade bar. Clare and Will seemed like the loveliest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!
I started shooting at Clare’s family home, where the bride was getting ready, and it was really exciting, because all the girls were there. Clare wore a wonderful off the shoulder dress and Will wore a fantastic tailoured suit and they looked so beautiful.
The wedding took place at St. Chad’s Church, Shrewsbury, and was a stunning religious ceremony. They had some beautiful readings, which was so beautiful. The Vicar was also a family friend which made the ceremony extra special. After the ceremony we did confetti outside the church door, and then straight to The Dingle, Shrewsbury. The Dingle is an area in The Quarry which was just beautifully looked after and the sheer amount of colour from the flowers was incredible.
The wedding reception took place at Clare’s family home, Shrewsbury, which they’d decorated with pretty much everything that could be grown or handmade. It was stunning.
It was a rainy day, which luckily didn’t put a dampener on moods. While the guests enjoyed canapes and cocktails, Clare and Will also mingled with them.
During the reception they homemade drinks, which went down a storm. For the wedding breakfast they had a slap up meal, and it was super yummy. After the wedding breakfast there were a few speeches, then the band kicked off the party and the couple had their first dance. They also had live music, which was so entertaining.
Here’s their DIY Marquee Wedding Shrewsbury.
