Mike + Lora’s gorgeous intimate Whitchurch Shropshire Wedding was fantastic, I really did not want to leave!
Mike and Lora got married in a couple of weeks ago (end of March) at the Civic Centre, which is an understated venue in Whitchurch. They had their ceremony at the local church, St. Alkmund’s Church, which was just a short walk away. They chose the Civic Centre, because it’s near their home and they could personalise it. It was a vintage themed wedding, which was perfect for them. I love shooting weddings at St. Alkmund’s Church, because the building is just incredible and the light is brilliant. I have never shot at the Civic Centre before but loved how Mike and Lora decorated it. Like a marquee its like a blank canvas and you can decorate it to how you would like it! I loved everything about this Whitchurch Shropshire Wedding
Bride and Groom Prep
Lora got ready at a local pub with rooms with her Maid of Honour and two flower girls, and the atmosphere was so calm. Sophie and Daniella were superb as always and did a wonderful job on hair and makeup. The girls then took a vintage wedding car to the ceremony (up the High Street). Lora’s step dad was waiting for her at church to walk her down the aisle which was lovely when he met her by the wedding car! Mike got ready at his a family member’s house. with his three other brothers. Mike then walked the short trip to get to the ceremony. The Boys had a brief pit stop at the pub across the road from St. Alkmunds Church, at the Black Bear.
The Ceremony
The wedding itself was an intimate affair in their local town in Whitchurch, Shropshire. It was very emotional as both Mike and Lora were excited about getting married, so lots of happy tears!
The Reception
The reception was in the nearby Civic Centre and they decorated it all themselves in the afternoon the day before, and had a DJ in the evening. The day was super! So family orientated which I just love. I love photographing strong relationships! They decorated the venue with flowers and Mr & Mrs light up letters, because they love colour. For dinner they had a roast dinner, which was absolutely delicious. We were so lucky, we were put on the guest’s table too! The first dance was a romantic slow dance, and they also played a game of Mr & Mrs. Which was ace and added more fun photos to their final collection
The nicest part of the day was Mike being so emotional as Lora walked down the aisle, because it was so romantic and personal.
The Couple
Mike and Lora have been together for 7 years, so childhood sweet hearts! It was also Lora’s Birthday on her wedding day. So every year now her birthday is going to be extra special with an Anniversary too!
Lora and Mike’s wedding was everything I love about weddings and so laid back. Here’s their wonderful wedding!
Suppliers
Mike and Lora used suppliers which are all local to Whitchurch, which I just love. Great team of people who I am used to working with and lovely to see again!
