Little Mae got christened at St. Mary’s Church, Nantwich a couple of weeks ago and I was delighted to be her Cheshire Christening Photographer.
I love photographing at St. Mary’s Church, Nantwich. Its a very pretty church as you can see from the photos below and the vicars each time I have been fortunate to meet are very accommodating. They allowed me at the front to enable me to do my job, discreetly, and get some good documentary photographs of Mae and her family along with the rest of the friends and family during the christening.
The light during the ceremony was superb and incredibly creative. I loved the golden light coming through the stain glass windows. Mae was super cute waving to her guests through the ceremony and did so well during the baptism.
After the ceremony – Mae’s Mum and Dad wanted to do some family photos and with godparents – which I always enjoy doing – as well as at weddings. We carried out various combinations to ensure the required photographs were captured outside church. After taking time to get these photos, we then went for the Christening Party across the way from St. Mary’s Church, Nantwich.
At the after party there was lots of incredibly cool face painting going on, lots of sweet picking and dancing. All the guests came along and we got lots of groups/families and couples photographs and everyone interacting.
Mae had a wonderful christening cake with a Beatrix Potter theme. I caught her trying to pinch some before I left!
It was a super event and hope you enjoy looking at the photos!
